Weekly Write-Up: 20th February 2019

by Tom Ashford

Welcome to the SPF Weekly Write-Up, where each Wednesday we collect together the self-publishing news of the week so you don’t have to.

Just a short one this week: the Self Publishing Show passes the one million download mark, and Mark Dawson promotes self-publishing on BBC Radio 4.

1,000,000 Downloads!

Last Friday the Self Publishing Show hit a major milestone – one million podcast downloads!

It’s a momentous achievement, so a big congratulations are in order for Mark and James (as well as all our wonderful guests and everyone else involved in making the show such a success). Here’s to the next million!

The Self Publishing Show is also available to watch on YouTube (we’re not quite at 1,000,000 views yet), along with a whole host of new video content about writing and marketing. Make sure to subscribe to our channel here.

Indie vs. Traditional Publishing – The Great Debate

Our very own Mark Dawson will be appearing on BBC Radio 4 this Wednesday (that’s today!) at 3pm to debate someone from the traditional publishing world on the benefits of indie publishing. Exciting!

Don’t worry – for those outside of the UK (or those of us inside the UK without a TV license), we’ll be recording it and posting it in the FB group afterwards.
